Having been involved in the Composite Materials industry for many years, we built up and refurbished second hand autoclaves to avoid the often prohibitive cost of new machines. Based on our work over the years, we have formed the opinion that the majority of new autoclaves on the market today are significantly overpriced, and the only option available for upgrading and automating second hand autoclaves is to approach specialist autoclave companies who will design a bespoke PLC system at huge cost and with a long lead time. 

As well as designing our own autoclave, we wanted to offer a lower cost option for upgrading and automating existing, used autoclaves in situ. We have done this with the development of a retrofit, off the shelf PLC system, available from as little as £14,995.
